On September 18th, CCF received a $75,000 grant from The Safeway Foundation. CCF Board members Steve Coomes (retired 46-year veteran at Safeway) and Matt Boyd (Grocery Sales Manager for Safeway Eastern Division) joined CCF President Jerry Chadwick and CCF Executive Director Tasha Museles for the check presentation.
This past May, Safeway customers from Maryland, D.C., Delaware and Florida stores donated over $357,000 at checkout during Safeway’s Pediatric Cancer fundraising effort. CCF was one of the 11 regional and local organizations to receive the proceeds from this month-long fundraising program.
With a mission of raising funds to support treatments and cures for children with cancer, CCF is grateful to be included as one of Safeway’s beneficiary organizations. And, with a partnership extending over 30 years, CCF looks forward to continuing the ongoing relationship that it has enjoyed with Safeway as together we find a cure for pediatric cancer.
