EMD Sales, Inc. along with M&T Bank, The Coomes Family, local researchers and organizations, will be recognized at the Annual CCF Gala

On November 4, 2023, The Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF) will present the 2023 Gift of Life Award to Elda Devarie and EMD Sales, Inc. at its 39th Annual Gala. The award is CCF’s highest honor — recognizing leaders and businesses who have made a difference in pediatric cancer advancements through both community and philanthropic efforts.

Ms. Devarie and EMD Sales, Inc. will receive the award at the Annual Gala, which will take place at Martin’s Crossroads in Greenbelt, MD.

Since 1983, the Children’s Cancer Foundation has donated more than $43M in grants to area hospitals and researchers to treat and cure childhood cancers. In that time, EMD Sales, Inc. has been a partner and friend to CCF, proudly supporting CCF’s important work towards finding a cure for pediatric cancer.

“As a community-based grocery distributor, we are committed to finding ways to serve and support our most vulnerable neighbors, and we’re honored to contribute to the important efforts of CCF” shares Ms. Devarie.

“We are profoundly grateful that EMD Sales, Inc. recognizes how critical research is to providing hope for children fighting cancer,” expresses CCF President Tasha Museles, and commends EMD Sales, Inc. for also working to fight hunger in the community.
