On June 11th, at Whiskey Creek Golf Course,  Saval Foodservice raised $25,000 at its 16th Annual Golf Tournament to benefit The Children’s Cancer Foundation, Inc. (CCF).

With the generous contributions of many local sponsors, Saval Foodservice has loyally supported CCF, raising over $250,000 since its first Golf Tournament in 2003. Such a longstanding partnership has helped further CCF in its mission to advance treatments and cures for pediatric cancers. See the full press release here.

CCF Board member Darlene Holmes, Saval Foodservice’s Director of Marketing, helped organize the tournament.

CCF and Saval Foods recognized Madelyn Smith, who was diagnosed and started treatment in 2016 initially for Ewing Sarcoma. Mid-treatment, it was determined that Madelyn had an extrarenal rhabdoid tumor and her treatment plan was changed. Pediatric oncology research played, and will continue to play, a vital role in ensuring pediatric oncologists are aware of all cancers and have the ability to find cures for our youngest patients. Madelyn attended with her mother, Sarah Smith and younger siblings, Ben and Emma. Today, Madelyn is loving life and just finished first grade. More about Madelyn can be found here.

Also attending was Emma Miller, a leukemia cancer survivor, and her family- Dad Mike, mom Jenn, and younger sister Kenzee, and brother Camden. Mike Miller thanked Saval and all of the sponsors for supporting pediatric cancer research. More about Emma can be found here.

CCF is grateful to Paul Saval and the entire Saval team for their loyal and generous commitment to the mission of CCF. Saval’s generous support of CCF enables patients like Madelyn and Emma to receive the best the region has to offer in advanced treatments.
