Families enjoy some holiday time with CCF

December 19, 2019 By CCF Staff

Over 90 guests, including patients, survivors and family members, gathered at Tino’s Italian Bistro on Saturday, December 14th to enjoy an afternoon of friendship, survivorship and activities, hosted by The Children’s Cancer Foundation, Inc.

Kids undergoing treatment, as well as survivors, siblings and parents enjoyed a delicious lunch, games, face painting, a visit from Santa, raffles and gifts that were donated by our generous community, including Board member, Charmel McMillan.  The afternoon provides a much-needed break for some of our special guests who are undergoing treatment or recently were discharged from the hospital.  This annual occasion reminds CCF staff and supporters how these patients and survivors, and their families, are incredibly resilient and brave. They inspire us to remain focused on finding cures for children’s cancer.

Chairman Jerry Chadwick attended, along with Board Member Steve Coomes. CCF is grateful to Steve, his wife, Carolyn, Alisha Bartels and Madelyn Verrilli, who assisted throughout the day.

CCF extends our appreciation to Lance Cook and the dynamic and dedicated staff of Tino’s, all of our partner hospitals, Charmel McMillan, Giant Food and, of course, Santa!

Happy faces were in abundance throughout the afternoon.

Survivor Logan and twin sister Raegan make time for Santa.
Face painting was especially popular with our younger guests.

Fighter Miaciella brings her younger family members to join in the festivities.
Volunteers Caleb and Madeleine help set the tables…with candy.
