The Children’s Cancer Foundation, Inc. (CCF) has proudly supported Horizon Day Camp with funding since 2018.
Horizon Day Camp is Maryland’s only no-cost, seven-week summer day camp for children experiencing cancer either currently, or recently in remission, and their siblings. Their purpose is to provide Maryland children facing the burdens of childhood cancer a safe and inclusive camp experience. Children with cancer and their siblings often live in a world of “no,” but at Horizon Day Camp, it’s a world of “YES”! CCF is proud of our partnership.
Horizon Day Camp and The Children’s Cancer Foundation share largely the same geographic and demographic footprint as it relates to the children and families each organization serves. At our annual visits, we frequently meet up with children who have attended our gala, our holiday party, and are featured on our heroes page on the CCF website.
On June 20, 2026, CCF President Tasha Museles and Board member Steve Coomes visited Horizon on July 20th and met up with a few of our friends, including cancer survivor and former camper Andrew Oberle, who is now a counselor at Horizon and cancer survivor Isaia Eisinger. There’s nothing better than starting the morning off at Horizon Day Camp! Horizon Executive Director Mark McElrath expressed his gratitude to CCF for the many years of support.
