CCF Videos

Each year, CCF produces a few videos that capture the resilience of young cancer fighters and the promise of new therapies to combat childhood cancer. We welcome you to view and share. You may also view all of our videos, including our research symposium presentations on the CCF YouTube Channel.

2021

2020

Meet Kait and Josh Erkkila, parents of two young sons who both fought cancer. Hear their story of resilience. Thank you to the Erkkila family, 4 Square Productions, and The Kahlert Foundation.

 

Meet the Smith family. Sarah Smith recounts the many challenges her daughter Madelyn faced having an aggressive and rare type of cancer. Thank you to Sarah and the Smith Family, 4 Square Productions, and The Kahlert Foundation.

 

2019

In the Annual 2019 CCF video, we meet Lauren Leonard and son Darren, who is battling an ongoing cancer, and T’Jae Ellis and her daughter Grace Callwood, who reflect on Grace’s journey and discuss the promise of cancer research. 2018

In 2018, we meet with the Oberle Family as they look back on the devastating news about Andrew’s leukemia diagnosis. We also meet Noah Grove, osteosarcoma survivor turned Paralympian Gold Medalist, and one of his physicians Jeffrey Toretsky, M.D. of Georgetown University. Thank you to the Oberle Family, Noah Grove, Dr. Toretsky, 4 Square Productions, and The Kahlert Foundation.

2017

In 2017, CCF met with Melissa Daniels, who recounted her harrowing journey with daughter Ava, whose body didn’t respond to traditional or trial treatments. Ava later lost her battle in 2019. We meet several pediatric oncology researchers who discuss the challenges and promise of clinical trials and targeted treatment. Thank you to the Daniels Family, Pat Brown, M.D., Jeffrey Toretsky, M.D., Jeffrey Rubens, M.D., and 4 Square Productions.

 

2016

In 2016, Dana Wineke introduced us to Cade, who by three years of age, had faced numerous surgeries and other devastating treatments to fight his brain cancer. We also meet a younger Eileen Fauteux, who was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma in 2016. We also meet doctors, other researchers, and supporters who have made significant investments in cancer research.

 

2015

In our first video, we meet the Millers, who talk about their daughter Emma fighting cancer as an infant. We also hear from Joe Wiley, M.D., formerly of Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, joined by the late cancer fighter Juliana Carver, and Jeffrey Toretsky, M.D. of Georgetown University.
