Over 50 guests joined Event Host Giant Food for a special afternoon of appetizers, drinks, and steeplechase racing at a private rail-side tent for the 101st running of the Virginia Gold Cup on May 2, 2026, at Great Meadow in Virginia. This event is a time-honored tradition of steeplechase horse racing.
We are grateful for the efforts of CCF Board member Christopher Chadwick and Feldman Ruel. Gold Sponsors for the event were Boundary Stone Capital, Founders Bank, Allied Title & Escrow, and Ruddy Management. Without their support, the day would not have been possible. The commitment from local businesses enables critical research to continue and assures better treatments and outcomes for young cancer patients.
CCF Board Chairman Jerry Chadwick, Vice Chair Terry McGowan also joined the festivities. We are grateful that they were there to support the event as well as help whenever needed.
