On November 5, 2022 over 500 guests celebrated at the 38th annual CCF Gala. Emceed by WJZ-TV Sports Director Mark Viviano, CCF presented the 2022 Hero Award to the Bartels Family and the Fighter Award to Maryland NECA. Since 1984, the CCF Gala has recognized local individuals and companies dedicated to improving the lives children and families facing a diagnosis of cancer.
CCF presented grants totaling more than $1.1 M to local researchers and programs advancing research and treatment of pediatric cancer.

CCF is grateful to our corporate sponsors, gala participants and community members who joined us. Guests were introduced to Bridget Diveley, Danielle Eichner and we caught up with Cade Wineke.
Local cancer survivors joined us for the celebration, including Noah Kabia, who performed with the band. Guests enjoyed the sounds of Black Tie and danced the night away, including survivors Darren Leonard and Vanessa Bishop!

We are grateful to Giant Food for their incredible generosity. During the 2022 pediatric cancer fundraising effort, over $2M was raised. During our Gala, Board Secretary Terry McGowan presented over $634,000 to CCF on behalf of Giant Food.
